In 1993, the Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives published its first Directory of Archival Holdings. It was a small publication, reflecting the young but vibrant archival community of the province in the early 1990s. In 1997, the Heritage Edition of the Directory was released, bringing updated information about ANLA members and the archival holdings of other, non-member, heritage institutions. During 2001, almost twenty years after the formation of ANLA, we released a third version of The Directory, created to assist members and researchers in locating archival information and assistance. Our directory has now shifted to an exclusively electronic format. We hope that this will make it easier for us to keep up to date with member profiles and contact information.
Whether you are seeking the mandate of an institution, the main characteristics of its holdings or a simple telephone number and address this directory is here for you. Use it often and please do not hesitate to contact the ANLA office with suggestions for improvement or comments on how it may be improved in the future.

The ANLA directory is currently being reformatted. If you are having trouble finding the information you ar elooking for, please contact the ANLA office. Thank you for your patience!
